Jivan Ward is a poet, writer, and educator. He grew up and studied in London before working in South Korea and Spain as an EFL teacher. Currently, he is an English teacher in London and completing a Masters in Education: Culture, Language and Identity at Goldsmiths University. Of Trinidadian and English descent, Jivan’s creative work explores liminality and what it means to be mixed-race. His poem ‘mothers’ was shortlisted for the Bridport Prize 2022.
